Uzbekistan Visa and Entry Requirements

The facts that determine which rule applies

• Nationality and the passport that will be used for travel
• Passport type, including ordinary, diplomatic or service documents
• Purpose of travel and intended length of stay
• Arrival point, departure point and any land-border plan
• Transit countries and their separate entry or transit rules
• Whether the traveler has dual nationality or residency that affects the journey
• Accommodation and registration arrangements

Advice for one traveler cannot safely be copied to another. A visa-free list, e-visa option or entry note must be checked against the actual passport and circumstances.

Visa-free travel, e-visas and other visa routes

The official Ministry of Foreign Affairs page is the starting point for current visa categories and nationality information. If it indicates that an e-visa route may apply, continue only through the official portal. Travelers who are not eligible, whose purpose is outside the available category, or whose circumstances are unclear should contact the appropriate Uzbekistan embassy or consulate.

Do not infer eligibility from a search snippet, an old screenshot or another traveler’s approval. Verify the official domain, current instructions, required document format, validity, permitted entries and any conditions shown for the actual application.

Passport validity and document condition

Published sources can present passport-validity wording differently. This guide therefore does not state a universal three- or six-month rule. The traveler should confirm the requirement directly with the competent authority and the transport provider, including any rule connected with the end of the trip, visa validity or onward travel.

The passport details used for a visa, ticket and booking should be checked for consistency. Damage, missing pages, an expiring passport, a name mismatch or a passport replacement can affect travel even when an earlier application was accepted.

Accommodation registration

Visitors may have registration obligations during their stay. Official and government travel-advice sources can describe timing as days or working days, so this guide does not publish one universal deadline. Confirm the current process for hotels, guesthouses, private accommodation, camping or multi-stop travel.

Ask who is responsible for each stay and retain the confirmation or records provided. A route that changes accommodation may create more than one registration record.

Borders, transit and final admission

A valid visa or visa-free status does not remove every travel check. Airlines and other carriers apply document rules, and border authorities decide admission. Land borders and regional routes can have separate operational conditions. Confirm the intended crossing, transport, neighboring-country requirements and any permit or restriction directly with current official sources.

Entry checklist before booking

1. Identify the passport and nationality that will be used.
2. Open the current Ministry of Foreign Affairs guidance.
3. Check e-visa eligibility only on the official e-visa portal.
4. Confirm passport validity and document condition with the competent authority.
5. Check transit and neighboring-country rules for the complete route.
6. Confirm accommodation-registration responsibilities.
7. Save official confirmations and keep copies available during travel.
8. Recheck close to departure and after any passport, route or rule change.
