1. Who We Are
Silk Road Elite (“we”, “us”) arranges private, tailor-made tours of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. We act as a travel planning and coordination company: the individual services in your itinerary — hotels, guides, drivers, transport, experiences and flights — are delivered by carefully selected independent local suppliers.
2. Quotations and Itineraries
Itinerary proposals and quotations are prepared individually and confirmed to you in writing. A quotation is valid for the period stated on it; availability and pricing of hotels, trains and flights can change until your booking is confirmed. The services included in your tour are exactly those listed in your written itinerary confirmation.
3. Booking and Payment
A booking becomes confirmed when we state so in writing after receiving the deposit or payment set out in your quotation. Payment methods, amounts and due dates are specified in your written quotation or invoice. Prices are stated in US dollars unless otherwise agreed.
4. Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a confirmed booking, tell us in writing as early as possible. Any refund depends on the cancellation terms in your written quotation and on the conditions of the underlying suppliers (hotels, airlines, rail operators), some of which may be non-refundable. Where we can recover supplier costs for you, we will. If we must make a significant change to a confirmed itinerary, we will propose an equivalent alternative or a refund for the affected services.
5. Travel Documents, Visas and Entry Requirements
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any required visas or entry documents for each country visited. We will gladly point you to current official guidance and provide supporting documents where applicable, but final responsibility for meeting entry requirements rests with each traveler.
6. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance — covering medical care, evacuation, cancellation and personal belongings — is strongly recommended for all journeys we arrange, and is your responsibility to obtain.
7. Health, Safety and Conduct
You are responsible for assessing your fitness for the activities in your itinerary and for following applicable local laws and customs. We may adjust an itinerary where conditions (weather, road closures, safety guidance) require it; your guide and our team will always propose the best available alternative.
8. Liability
We exercise care in selecting local partners, but we do not own or operate hotels, airlines, railways or other suppliers, and we are not liable for their acts or omissions beyond amounts we can recover on your behalf. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amounts you paid to us for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Events Beyond Our Control
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural events, strikes, governmental action, epidemics or disruptions to transport networks. In such cases we will work with you to reschedule or re-plan affected services.
10. Complaints
If something is not right during your trip, contact your guide or our team immediately so we can fix it while you travel. Unresolved concerns should be sent to info@silkroadelite.com within 30 days of your return.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms deprives you of protections you are entitled to under the mandatory laws of your place of residence.
